Rules and Regulations (Revised as of 30 March 2010)

MEMBERSHIP
Open ONLY to all registered SAMS members who are in good standing with the club and has no outstanding fees.

REQUESTS
Titles will be added only by request due to budget issues (monetary contributions to the library would be most appreciated). However, availability of the title(s) and its content will be taken into consideration and may or may not be added to the library.

LOAN PERIOD
Each member is allowed only 2 items for 1 week. Renewal of items for another week is allowed if item is not reserved but borrowers must inform the library staff on the first week of item borrowing.

FINES FOR OVERDUE ITEMS
RM2.00 will be charged per item every week. If it is still not returned by the fourth week, the items borrowed will be considered sold and the borrower has to pay all overdue fees (First week + second week + third week + replacement fees). If the library is closed on the week the item is due, the borrower may keep the borrowed item until the library re-opens and no overdue fines will be charged.

RETURN
Items must be returned in good condition or be fined RM5 if the item is damaged and will be considered sold to the borrower.
